As part of our broad, community-spanning coalition, over a hundred religious leaders from across faith traditions and across the state have joined us in support the Healthy Youth Act. From rabbis to reverends, cantors to imams, faith leaders from throughout the Commonwealth agree: youth in our state deserve accurate, LGBTQ-inclusive, consent-based sex ed. Seeing firsthand how the lack of comprehensive sexual health education impacts the youth in their pastoral care, over a hundred of them signed on to a public letter calling on the Massachusetts House of Representatives to move forward with the bill this January.
In their own words, "As faith leaders, our religious traditions share a common belief in loving our neighbors and treating one another with dignity and respect." They all agree: it's time for the legislature to make their own commitment to those shared values real by passing the bill.
